Can I DIY transfer of house?

When my mother in law passed, she left everything to her only daughter who is named executor. Her house is fully paid for, no mortgage etc. We have her deeds and land registry paperwork too.

Do we need a solicitor for this with it being simply a case of transfer the house? Or is it best to get it done for us etc? We have grant of probate.

Is your wife planning to keep the house? If you are planing on selling then there is no point in transfering it first.

You don't have to use a conveyancer but we would always recommend that you do

Land registration can be complex, designed to protect legal and financial interests in property. There can be significant consequences for any error. Please consider seeking legal representation. Before making an application without legal representation, it is important to consider the benefits of using a conveyancer.
