Any modern car can be susceptible to early 12v battery failure if the car is low mileage and standing for periods of time.  The batteries simply cannot recover if flattened.

How many miles do you do?
I dont know the exact mileage but it was 30-45 minutes a day it was going with 1 day double that from the start. It way exceeded their official advice as I made sure :)

With £2.5k down and £250 a month, you’ll probably be looking at a used or nearly-new hybrid auto, not brand new. Worth a look: Honda Jazz Hybrid or Kia Niro Hybrid for reliability and safety tech.PCP deals and dealer demos can help keep costs down, and don’t be afraid to negotiate APR. Definitely doable with the right car and deal.

One thing the Niro Hybrid does have (2020  onwards) is a lithium 12V battery that is part of the Hybrid battery. So should 12V go flat, you have a reset button which recharges the 12V from drive battery.
Only thing is Niro is a larger car, than a Yaris.

Given your usage, if you have the option to charge at home a EV would be far cheaper to run.
Having had a 2020 Niro hybrid & now a 2021 Niro EV. Hybrid was £50 a month in fuel, while EV is under £10 for the same mileage.
If you don't then you would have to look at costs & where you could charge.

I have had a 2021 Jazz for almost 2 years. It has been reliable so far. 120 HP gives it a decent turn of speed if needed. I get around 60mpg in Eco mode, a bit less on the motorway. First impressions were that it was practical, but dull. It has grown on me a bit.

Thanks for all the advice everyone.

I spoke to a number of dealers and most were pretty poor getting back to me but Suzuki did and got a nice deal there I believe and should get my car soon :)
