Electric foil underfloor heating

Hi all

Has anyone fitted this themselves? The electrician has put the spur in for it so I thought I give it a go laying it.

If you have paint, any great advice? Thanks

I’ve installed thermosphere underfloor heating as a DIY job.   I used the separate mat and cable and then tiled over.  The hardest part was the self-levelling concrete over the top.  The mat itself was easy.

Note that direct electric heating is one of the most expensive ways of heating a room.
If you've got wet central heating, storage heaters or an air-to-air heat pump, all those will be cheaper.
You might already know this but this is a moneysaving site so I thought it was worth mentioning!

Thanks, much appreciate the advice! Given the work involved for wet, I’m going for this as it’s only a 2.5m area in a utility room. It’ll run off batteries and/or solar so hoping not too expensive.
