Im aware that the CPI has been set at 3.8% for 2026. I know that Sky do not go by the Ofcom "pounds and pence" system. Just to check that if im on a post January 2025 minimum term contract (February 2025 in my case) then what type of increase will I be looking at with Sky for both internet and TV?

Re TV, the short answer: 10%
Long answer: From the Sky Q Ts&Cs (you didn't say which Sky TV product you have):
Re internet, they don't have any specific terms re price increases, but you get the option to leave, even if within your minimum term, if they increase the price.During the minimum term, unless it is for a reason set out in condition 11.8 below (where the followingincrease limits do not apply), we may increase the then standard price of each TV subscription serviceonly once in any 12 month period and the increase will not be more than 10% or the increase in the UKRetail Price Index over the 12 months before we tell you about that price increase, whichever is greater. Inaddition, any price increase for a TV subscription service will be delayed so as not to apply during the first60 days of your minimum term in which case the 12 month period referred to will start on the date yourprice would have increased but for the delay. The limits on the timing, frequency and amount of any priceincrease in this condition are referred to as “price protection”.

The figure has not been confirmed yet, it will likely be around 6.5%, but will vary depending on the value of the contract you are on, you will need to wait and see.NeillB said:Im aware that the CPI has been set at 3.8% for 2026. Just to clarify, the up to 10% rise applies to the pre-discount price.Detail_Merchant said:Re TV, the short answer: 10%
So, for example, last April, on my bill, the undiscounted price of Signature went up from £36.50 to £40.00, so about a 9.6% rise.
I was getting an £18.00 discount, so my price went up from £18.50 to £22.00, so that was actually more like a 18.9% increase.1 -
Sky have always done this , if you for example had a £40 service that they provided a £5 discount on , so you paid £35, then the annual increase came along (say 10% for simplicity) the price goes up from £40 to £44 then the discount applied so you pay £39 not £35 with a £3.50 (10%) increase so £38.50 , only 50p difference but they have millions of customers…..
the other thing Sky do (did , I haven’t used them for years )was increase different products by varying amounts, some 1-2% others 15-20% so they could say the average increase was 10% , even though someone may experience individually a higher than 10% increase depending on the mix of products they take0
