Govenment cheap loans 2026 for solar panrels

I'm considering solar panels and battery storage for my home. Is oit worth waiting untill April 2026 gor new loan scheme?

  • My family member has been offered a loan for solar panels but as on low income there is a suggestion it may be funded by the government under the new scheme. Should they wait to avoid an unnecessary loan over many years.

    Welcome to the forum.
    If it's from a flyer through the letterbox, an ad on Facebook etc, be very wary.  There are lots of dodgy solar installers who will promise the sun, moon and stars to get you to sign up.
    Instead look for a Trading Standards Approved supplier via your local council's website (not Check A Trade).
