We had conservatory installed 2022 , numerous issues leaks etc now 3.5 years on they have replaced roof , great , except it upside down . Pilkingtons Active Sunshade Blue , blue side should be outside its self cleaning , we have technical docs diagrams from pilkington.
Problem labels stuck on wrong side when manufactured, we have many photos during replacement the diff in colours is obvious but manufacturer is still disputing.
Really simple blue side up.
Apart from our issue how many others have been installed incorrectly this is major DG unit supplier based in Wales.

I doubt anyone will be able to answer that question accurately. AI had a go but couldn't quantify it, either.Butterfly1907 said:We had conservatory installed 2022 , numerous issues leaks etc now 3.5 years on they have replaced roof , great , except it upside down . Get company back that installed them & explain. They should be able to turn then over.Butterfly1907 said:We had conservatory installed 2022 , numerous issues leaks etc now 3.5 years on they have replaced roof , great , except it upside down . Should be better ok unless it's a Victorian or Edwardian conservatory as these have triangle shaped units so depending on conservatory design that may not be possible.born_again said:

The roof has been installed the wrong way round. The panels are upside down.0 -
I think it's a typo, and should be "lean to".sheramber said:

Does not come across as a typo for lean to 🤷♀️Life in the slow lane0 -

Conservatory is a lean to but has also had numerous leaks. Installer and dg unit manufacturer insisting it is correct will not change still arguing about blue side up , i have been to a number of local installers all say blue side up as does Pilkington. Sorry for any typos have really had enough of this now. Neither installer of glass supplier belong to trade regulator. Installer has good reputation I was very careful choosing .
Concerned about how many other people have had roofs installed upside down as this is incorrect labelling from DG unit manufacturer.0 -
How did you pay for the conservatory because if it was on credit card or finance then I think they should help but other people will be along with a correct answer.Butterfly1907 said:Conservatory is a lean to but has also had numerous leaks. I think last year I answered someone's question about this type of glass on MSE as they had glass replaced but it wasn't blue on exterior.
As for the label's they could of been put on the wrong side.0 -
There's nothing you can do about that, even if it is a wider problem. Focus on your own problem.Butterfly1907 said:Conservatory is a lean to but has also had numerous leaks.
