I stay in a quiet area facing trees and not much traffic I usually get a 4 weekly window cleaner but twice I switched to a new one who stopped turning up. Anyway there’s a few can sign me up some have 3 month minimum contacts and are more expensive. I am tempted to do a one off clean spring summer winter it costs more but it’s frustrating waiting chasing them up and they don’t show. My first two window cleaners were more reliable. I got new windows so I am hoping a few cleans is enough? I think they last got cleaned in November but seem fine. Don’t want any discolouration of UPVC ect. What’s best way to move forward? Some also offer 8 week cleans. Usually I’m happy to do regular but getting quotes and it’s getting more and more expensive and like I say I got ones good price but stopped showing up? I assume windows won’t be damaged or yellow the UPVC with a few cleans a year?

The UPVC used for windows is especially formulated to resist yellowing, and is normally guaranteed for 10 years.
In any case the issue with yellowing is caused by UV  from sunlight , not that the product gets a bit dirty.

Window cleaners don’t generally clean the frames anyway, just the glass.  You have to request / pay extra to get the frames done.  I would say monthly the glass and annually the full frames.

My window cleaner does all the frames plus front door as free extras on every visit 👍🏻
I have mine cleaned once a month, have considered changing to 6 weekly.

We have ours done every 6 weeks, no issues with the windows or frames, and we have a lot of windows.

We used to have monthly, but when we had our extension done we have a lot more windows, so dropped to every second month so the annual cost is the same.

Window cleaners want regular customers, which is why you might be having problems if you keep chopping and changing.

I've never come across a window cleaner who doesn't clean the frames and doors.
