Elster AS300P with AM110R smart electricity Meter - ( Night time tariff ) Problems

I have the above smart meter installed by EON in 2014 despite us being on Day/Night tariffs during the November & December 25 and now Jan 26 the night reading is not moving still reading the same reading month on month
Imp R2 -  06873.4  not move for 3m and not moving? Despite we use the washer and dishwasher on night time energy, day and total readings are going up with the charges? Have I done something to the setting to stop night time readings whilst taking readings or is there A setting in the meter we need to reset and I cannot find the Manual for this smart device to check the settings ? Can anyone help Cheers

    Welcome to the forum.

There are no user-adjustable settings in a smart meter. So whatever the problem is, it can't be anything you've done.
    Can anyone help Cheers
TBH it sounds like time for you to contact EON and get your meter settings reset, or the meter replaced.
You'll also want to make sure you get credited for any night-time electricity that you've been charged day-rate prices for.

Id be talking to EOn Nect, checking tariff titles and statements to see if their is any sign of change on recent bills.

To see, for instance Is there any chance EOn have taken a non standard configured smets1 meter and reconfigured it deliberately for single tariff operation ?

Others with rts or mechanical timers have been or at least been threatened with single rate until / unless upgraded.

Other suppliers for instance have reportedly told customers they have abandoned some of their older multirate tariffs in the middle of 2025.

Some electricity meters have a certified life of only 10 years.  I can't find information on your meter but it's possible that it is due to be replaced.

I was pointed by another forumite here at a new MID basis.

When tried to find certification life for my smets1 meter.

And so I now believe its possible smart meters are subject to in service testing rather than a defined fixed certification period to establish serviceable life

At one stage meters were to be assesssed at ages 8, 13, 18 ?, ... years

Maybe though smets1 will however need replacing if cullular ? by 2033 ? switchoff from telefonica 22g/3g  - when new 4g comms hubs required

Is that all you use the night rate for?

Thats a really good question.  As flat rate or smart tou  might be better than paying multirate day rate premium if not using enough on night rate e.g. for hw and space heating in winter, or battery timeshifting.
