True but it also implies that pending tests don't have to be declared (unless a GP advises against travel).sheramber said:

Just to add, check your terms and conditions too - this is from my policy with LV so I don't need to inform them at all:Woodstok2000 said:
You took insurance to cover your costs, but i assume you're not talking about cancelling here? Saga wont cover you for an undiagnosed condition thats under investigation, but once diagnosed you should be able to add it to the cover (or cancel and get cover elsewhere).Albuquerque15 said:I have booked my first saga holiday with insurance. I rang to inform them I had a potential new condition having been referred to a consultant for a foot injury. They said the insurance would be cancelled if there was no diagnosis yet. Surely that’s what I took insurance out for - unexpected events? Is this right?
If your diagnosis is likely to happen very close to, or even after, your holiday you may want to look at specialist cover.
"You don’t need to let us know of changes to anyone’s health after you’ve set up your policy. Any new condition(s) diagnosed will be covered, as long as the person is considered medically fit to travel and isn’t travelling against medical advice."
The OP does not have a diagnosis. There would be a difference between the GP saying 'You have a hernia' but will need a scan/examination to determine how serious it is" and "There is definitely a lump, but I don't know what the cause is and I'll have to send you for investigation".The terminology above of 'diagnosed' would be likely to cover the first conversation but not the second.0 -
It is dangerous to assume that something is implied when dealing with insurance.katejo said:
