Oh and I have logged into MCOL and there isn't any obvious change there, will the N180 that was sent to me be at some stage recorded there?

Go to the Template defence to find THE FIRST 8 STEPS: to follow you're at step 3.
I'm sure at some stage the Claiments N180 does get recorded as received on your MCOL. It will also eventually show the date when CNBC post out N180 to you. Good to check it regularly let's you see what's happening.
