Wrong tracking destination for package

I sent a package on 14th Jan to Norway by Royal Mail Tracked, it's showing it's in Flushing USA, been there since 18th Jan.
I am going round in circles on the RM site, have tried phoning but that is just press button after button then get cut off, any idea what I can do?

    Not a lot.
If it's been scanned in the USA then they know they have it.
It will go into a crate for manual sorting and eventually get re-routed.
Even if you can speak to someone they won't actually speed the process up.

Once the time limit for delivery on whatever service you used has passed you can open a claim for a lost item but that's a frustrating process as well.

There is also a chance that it may intentionally have been sent via the us as they use dynamic manifesting so they might just be using your item to fill an empty space on a flight.
I've seen stuff I've sent going to completely random places on the tracking but most of it has arrived eventually.

If this is an eBay sale then keep an eye on things as of course buyer can open an INR the day after the last estimated delivery date , which on eBay is always a bit optimistic.

As said above it may not be wrong. I had a parcel a while ago that went to about six different countries around the world, most of which seemed out of the way.
