Morning @Gers thanks for the start - hope Lionel was in good spirits when you saw him x
I’m up early in solidarity with DH. He has to drop DD at the starion as her exhaust came apart last night and she’s needed in the office today. Also DS1’s car is making a noise so DH will meet him at the garage and take him to work.I am working in the office today and have also been asked to work tomorrow - all more pennies for us, which is good.Bathroom man gave some practical and honest advice and has gone away to do his magic. I spent some time looking at the brochures and have more of an idea now.Dinner is Firecracker chicken - yummy.Hope our poorlies are feeling brighter today - @dp1 and @Suffolksue. Also @WickedLady4 with her poorly tooth and @snoozer’s ankle. Sorry if I’ve forgotten anyone - too early!!
Have a good day all

A quickie from me. Yesterday turned into a longer day than expected. L was in good form and chatted away. I dropped off the POA which was scanned and given back to me and then I was told the doctor was coming round so I waited. And waited. And waited. Just as I had given up and was leaving she turned up. It was worth the wait.I eventually arrived home at 5.30p.m. Whacked. This morning I'm off down the peninsula for hair cut and colour. My cleaner is coming so I need to tidy the coffee table, everything else is fine. I hope that everyone is doing well. Hugs to all.15

Good morning, thanks for the start Gers.
I don't know what the weather is doing, probably raining, though we briefly glimpsed the sun yesterday.
Not much happening today.
Sorry to hear about the family car problems Coxy, hope they're fixable and don't cost a bomb.Cars so often do.
Hope our poorly people are feeling a bit better, there seem to be quite a few not well at the moment.
Take care folks.14 -
Morning all
Its been raining most of the night and will be for most of the day, I am off to see O, I had promised him a walk out somewhere in his wheelchair but I don’t think it will happen if it’s raining hard we will have to see.
I have a meeting after work which was cancelled on Monday and then the shopping is being delivered dinner will be something quick with chips.
The tablets the Dr gave me did nothing at all for me on Monday night but last night I slept so much better so hopefully they will be fine once they get into my system properly.
Gers I’m glad Lionel was in good spirits xx
Have good days all and take care xx15 -
Morning GERS, fellow early birds and all to follow. Another drab and dismal day is forecast but that's better than next week's forecast which I was silly enough to look at.
I must drag myself out of the slothful mode I am in and get on with some jobs today. But the excitement of the day will be the delivery of a few things that have tempted me in online sales.. A real mixed bag of stuff including a couple of things from Cotton T's. I hope they fit after the excessive eating of Christmas goodies!
Another delve in the freezer next for today's eats, surely it must be seeing daylight soon! Whilst this milder spell is with us I really should do the much needed defrost too, as it feels less cold in the garage.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. We have so many down just now with the various lurgies circulating. Take care all, be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"14 -
Morning everyone just off out to a cleaning job it’s still so dark rain forcast for later. I’m undecided about going to Lidl when I get back I’ve got a 5 pound voucher off 40 pounds but my freezers are full and my cupboards aren’t doing so bad I need a few things but I will decide when I write a list. Gers pleased Lionel is feeling settled. Otherwise not a lot happening today I have some homework to do but then again I always have . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing14

Torrential rain last night and the forecast is for a damp week then a sleety/snowy one next, the joys of January.
Given that exciting prospect I’m going to start tackling the loft - just a couple of hours at a time - there’s definitely stuff for the bin, maybe for selling and for the charity shop.Best wishes to all the poorlies, friends and family!

Good morning
Dark and dreary out, rain forecast later.
Yesterday I ventured out, I wanted to get back into driving after my bump on Saturday. All went well. I went to Lids and got my free sack of potatoes. Other than that just some bread, and a kilo of cooking bacon, which looks like smoked streaky for £1.99. Didn't need anything else, trying to be good.
Dinner tonight is chicken. I'm going to try coating in stuffing mix, haven't done that before, so hope it turns out okay.
Gers, glad Lionel is keeping cheerful.
Have a good day all, take care.13 -
Good morning
Thank you for the start @Gers , pleased to hear Lionel was in good spirits and you managed to see him Dr
Changed my broadband provider as I need a landline. They turned up and hour and a half outside the time. Expected me to move a heavy piece of furniture. Just waiting for the ' how did we do ' message, probably don't even read them.
@TA Like you I'm trying to eat out of the freezer but it never seems to go down.
@Ruby please you managed some sleep,
Take care
If you walk at night no-one will see you cry.14 -
