DCB Legal letter of claim

Hi there, I have been ignoring correspondence on this since late 21 or early 22, but have been away over the Christmas period, visiting an ill relative abroad and have come back to a letter of claim ( the first to my knowledge ) although I no longer have the car and it was registered at a different address anyway.

With me being short on time to respond to this my question was more just making sure that I do have to actually reply to this one?

Cheers

LBC from DCB Legal re ParkingEye.

Just send the standard reply in post 2 of the NEWBIES thread. Nothing to worry about and no reason to pay.

When the Claim form arrives, show us. This will be discontinued in the end, no worries. No money payable by you at any stage.

Hi Again, As per advice I responded using the standard reply in post 2 of the newbies thread, and as expected claims form has arrived.

    I have attached that below.

Thanks again for the help in advance.

So Parking Eye via DCB Legal, issue date 26th January 2026

Study post 2 in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum by coupon mad

Then study the first two posts in the defence template thread in announcements to

Complete the AOS online on MCOL this weekend or next week, not today, using your government gateway account if they addressed the claim form to you, as Defendant

Start drafting your defence based on the example in the defence template thread

Ps , your password is on show on the bottom right, so not redacted correctly

No breach pleaded in the PoC so the Chan and Akande cases are relevant for the Defence.

Yep, which is a version specially linked for 'DCB Legal ParkingEye' cases in the Template Defence thread.

No discussion or help is needed really in these cases as it is simple.
