Where to get copy of historical Confirmation document in Scotland !

Trying to get copy of Confirmation for estate I was sole executor for in 2004. ( hard copies lost during 2 house moves ) The Civil Court in Livingston does not store them that far back and directed me to the NROS in Edinburgh which wasn’t  sure if they had them.

Be grateful for any insights, Cheers

The courts service has a Commissary Records Unit in Edinburgh.  I believe that after 10 years the court service forwards Confirmation records to the National Records of Scotland for posterity.

So if you just want a plain copy of the Confirmation for reference, it is from National Records of Scotland.
