Mobile phone insurance

My boyf gave me his phone when his contract ran out. Trying to find a gadget insursnce to cover it is impossible. They want a receipt to prove its under 2/3 yesrs i dont have one. Any advice? I have the same issue witb my lads tablet too

No proof of purchase at all? Bank statements?0

Most phone contracts run either 2 or 3 years. Have you checked with your b/f to find out when the phone was purchased. It may not be possible to get insurance on an older phone.0

its a samsung s25 so worth insuring i think. screens are expensive to replace. Have a reciept but having issues with the imei number with o2, think im just gonn have to admit defeat on this one0

That phone was only launched in Jan/Feb 2025 so definitely not too old to insure. Did your b/f have it on a network other than O2? If so, might that be creating an issue with the IMEI number? Phone locked to the network for example?0
