Never needed to send that much.
I did need to move 30k for my wife.
I used Starling bank.
As you can have a euro account and move the money between that account and your starling uk account.
Looking at today’s rate, Wise & Starling.
Starling is far better.
You could also hold the funds in starling and hope the rate moves in you favour.

Starling bank does NOT offer euro account to new customers.
Sending euros to Starling £ account would generate 2% fee min.
Wise is NOT a bank, so any large transfers are at your own risk.
Best to open euro acc in IE and then transfer smaller chunks over Wise.0 -
Maegi said:If you're unsure you can also keep the funds in EUR and convert at your leisure.
Many UK Banks offer EUR denominated accounts; simply supply the Irish lawyer the IBAN.
Many ??? Can you please quote one that doesnt charge monthly fee or require huge opening balance?
Except for HSBC.0 -
HSBC Global Money account might be a good one to look at.0
