Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers.
It's fairly calm out this morning, not raining yet!
Did some shopping yesterday, much needed toiletries from HB then for a mooch in TKMaxx where I got a new light shade for the front bedroom and some other things I didn't need. Should have started sewing up the little one's new cardigan I've knitted but managed to put that off!
Work today should be nice and busy.
Hugs to anyone in need. Take care. XX13 -

Glad they are both doing okay x.Dinner is leftover turkey pie with mash, sprouts and cabbage.Have a good day all

Morning allLooking dry out there and slowly getting lighter earlier. The dark mornings seemed to have gone on forever. When we got our new bed base last week I threw everything back into the base drawers with no order so will be sorting them out today. Lots of summer clothes and odds and ends so will be strict with what goes back and what goes in a charity bag! Some ironing to do later on and that's about itHave a good day all13

I'm still thinking about Monday. Too many balls in the air just now so may have to keep them going. L started radiotherapy yesterday so perhaps it'll help in the short term.Yesterday I realised that I've got a hair appointment on Wednesday and a dental one on Thursday, both of which I'd forgotten about. Dentist is in Glasgow so I've booked an hotel for two nights so I can do hospital visiting. I made a batch of soup then added a tin of borlotti beans for extra fibre, think I prefer lentils and will stick to them.I hope that everyone is safe, dry and well. Get well soon to al those who are under the weather still.12

Morning, it's damp here, as usual. Still not light yet, but I can that it's a miserable looking day. Yesterday we had lamps on from early afternoon.
I'm not paying my usual Monday visit to my friend up the road because she's not feeling well, I might go later in th week.
Hope Lionel is comfortable Gers.
Camelot I never come out of TK Maxx empty handed!
I've got to nip out for a few things this morning, and that's about it.
Take care folks.

Morning folks and thanks GERS. I hope you get this weeks appointments sorted out. And you can visit Lionel too. I hope you find him at least no worse.
Another miserable day in store here with light rain, light wind and the dratted fog is still with us. It was with us for the biggest part of the day yesterday and never daylight. It gets jading. Not a lot got done really. As intended I got the 2 portions of cauliflower cheese made up so there is still one for today. I need to have a freezer rummage shortly for something to go with it.
DP1 yes Pompeii is an amazing place to visit but don't go in August! We went from Sorrento when we were there for DD's doomed marriage about 20 years ago.. It was 40 deg for the whole holiday and very little cooler in the evening. The rackety old Vesuviana train to Pompeii had no air-con and was like travelling in an oven. But despite the heat we had a wonderful visit there! DS and DD's ex braved the walking route to the top of Vesuvius afterwards but that was a step too far for us!
Today will be a same old same old day. No plans unless a better offer comes along. Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely.
Take care all be safe xx

Morning all
It looks a bit overcast outside but no rain yet, I am off to mums today to work and will take her washing back with me and see if she has any more, I will cook her a couple of dinners while I am there and do her meds boxes for the next few weeks.
Dinner tonight is pork chops mash and veg, I have a meeting straight after work till about 4, so dd will probably prep the dinner.
Big dog damaged her dew claw while out for a walk yesterday so she will probably need a trip to the vet today, we bandaged it up last night and she feels very sorry for herself indeed and keeps showing everyone her bad leg.
Gers I hope Lionel is comfortable xx
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning! Grey and drizzly today, fingers crossed it'll clear up a bit. We went out Saturday night to a churrascaria for our Christmas meal with OHs mum and stepdad, it was lovely. A lot of meat followed by pineapple with a cinnamon sauce...it was rolling round on the sofa time groaning after that. Not planned much today, half of the jobs I wrote a list for last week are now on this weeks list, I seem to always overestimate what I can actually get done. Most of them are outside jobs though, so they're weather dependent. Like chopping some kindling, which will definitely need ot be done this week. We haven't had the fire on though, it's just being prepared for the next cold snap. It's just far easier now to stick the heating on for an hour...Ruby, how lovely for you to see Rob again. Good to know he's out and about despite the still living at home..Gers, hope it makes L more comfortable, they do use it to kill pain as well as cells, so hopefully he'll be more comfortable now. Izzy, good to hear your friend is better off now, such a shocking list of things happening at the hospital, I expect she'll do her best to never go back again! Hope the lurgied get well soon, wrap up, drink hot chocolate and read some books indoors today
