Lack of car use. Cold weather & constant use of electrics if more likely to be the issue than dash cam. But as a test, just pull it out of the socket once stopped.
If problem is still there, then you know it's not dash cam.

Is the low battery warning from the dash cam or the car? With low usage it's possible that your car battery is low as you're not charging it up enough, the battery itself may be old and on its last legs. The odd 22 mile trip won't do it if it's on its last legs.

What is the dash cam model?

You've not given much info on the dash cam itself so this is a bit of a shot in the dark..
What's probably happening is that, when you turn off the car, the dash cam is going into a low power standby mode. This lets it start up quickly when you next use the car.
If you're using the car regularly, the battery in the dash cam will last between sessions. However if you're using the car less, the internal dash cam battery is going flat during this standby period.
    If suggest two things:
    - Get the dash cam fully charged. This might mean bringing it into your house and connecting it to a mains charger. Many dash cams have a regular USB charging connector and you probably have a charger for a phone or gadget that will work.
    - Does the dash cam have a power switch? If so, when you stop your car use the power switch to switch the dash cam off rather than leaving it in standby. You'll need to remember to switch it back on when you next use the car.

You've just reminded me of an issue with my Road Angel Halo Pro when I first had it fitted. It's in a '24 plate Peugeot 208 and I initially had it recording when the car was locked up. I got a battery warning from the dashcam the next day so I turned that feature off and never had a problem since.

Are we to take it from this that you have a dashcam that isn't wired in (or permanent) but it just sticks on the windscreen and runs off the cigarette lighter?  And you can take it to any car?

The batteries in those sort (particularly at the cheaper end of the market) tend not to be a lot of cop to be honest, they only last about five minutes if that once they're disconnected from the power source before they run out of juice (they recharge from the power of the cigarette lighter)

This may be more of a problem if your cigarette lighter is only active when the car's in a certain state, as there would be no power going to the lighter so the camera won't charge.

The lighter socket is only live when the car is in use, and the car isn’t being used much. So, the dashcam is not getting power for long enough.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
