Urine on mattress
textbook
My mattress is topped with memory foam. Last night my kid slept on it then urinated himself. I blotted with kitchen roll but it was hours later after the incident when i realised what he'd done and was quite dry There was an electric blanket under top sheet which must have absorbed some of it and on. How do i ensure my mattress gets cleaned and stays odour free?
I found a cleaning kit and sprayed mattress refresher there. Mostly dont want bad smells no visible stain just mildly damp but was hrs after incident and had an electric blanket turn on

There are special urine (stain) cleaners / odour removers / eliminators etc. for mattresses. Use google.1

Bought this. I'll just keep spraying on the bit that smells. No stain..
how about Electric blanket? Can you hand wash those?
Is soap and water gonna work at this hrs after incident?

You can wash some electric blankets but you would need to check the label on your particular one - assuming you've not cut it off.
Mine is machine washable.1 -
I'm waiting for the urine spray cleaner to arrive. Shall I just not cover the area I think my kid urinated on to be sure it drys? Otherwise will get moldgrumpy_codger said:There are special urine (stain) cleaners / odour removers / eliminators etc. for mattresses. Use google.0 -
Eliminating stain and odour is necessary but also an antibacterial, bacteria forms as it comes into contact with the air so is important to address that.0

Will the Envi Bed Fresh kill the bacteria?Momogeew said:Eliminating stain and odour is necessary but also an antibacterial, bacteria forms as it comes into contact with the air so is important to address that.
I guess leaving it to air for days is wise. I heard memory really absorbs urine aaah
Looking at baking soda and white vinegar but surely that would make it stink?

I wouldn't go the route of homemade cleaning ideas, use a product that's chemically suited to treating bodily fluids.textbook said:
