  • The CNBC will send you a DQ N180 form, that must be completed & returned to the CNBC (UNLESS you've - rarely - put in a counterclaim, in which case the form must go back to the local court).

Hi guys, I have filed a counterclaim. Do I send the N180 to my local court by email or by post. The only email address I can find on their website is the general enquiries one?

    many thanks

Send it by post and email (why not?) and plot your unavailability through until at least October half term. Think of birthdays, busy work months, if in doubt cross them out. Update the court if you later book any holiday or have other commitments, as this will require a hearing.

They probably want you to accept a "drop hands" offer where both parties agree to discontinue their case and pay their own costs to date. I would insist on everything in writing. They don't need to speak to you.

  • Thought so, bit late for that now. I will wait for the proceedings and see if it is worth the wait.

They seem to have typed that they tried to call you three years ago, in August 2023?!

You don't have to give them a phone number. I wouldn't.
