Yes, you can charge home batteries in the overnight block but don't try gaming the system to use any "casual" sessions. They've just cracked down on the people who were gaming the system.

....."New" E.ON Next Drive + SEG is beaten by Intelligent Octopus Go (7p/29p import) + Outgoing Octopus Fixed (15p export).

Except you might have to invest in a different charger or a different EV to make use of Intelligent Octopus Go.  How does regular Octopus Go compare?
Regular Go is 8.5p for five hours rather than 7p for six, and 31p rather than 29p, and an extra penny a day on the SC (regional variations apply, yours might be slightly different to mine). You'll still qualify for 15p Outgoing.
Can you charge home batteries with intelligent octopus go on the cheap rate as well, aka the same time each night?
    zappi charger.
Yes, I do that (charge my battery overnight).
And I think the Zappi is compatible.

Yes, Zappi is compatible with IOG, that's what I use.

Yes the next drive is changing to 12-6 am at a more expensive rate. You need to include the standing charge split hourly in any calculation as that went up 30% on my latest next drive fixed.

In terms of modelling I consume everything I can o/n and then based on MY inverter I charge up the battery so that it's at 100% SOC at start of day/end of cheap rate. Then all solar goes into SEG as excess export. I set the battery to discharge 1h (summer) at end of day back to grid (30 mins in winter). So, none of my solar goes to consumption. Battery discharges to consumption at o/n rate. Occasionally in winter battery runs out so have to use high rate at end of day but that's usually small as asleep and consumption at a minimum.
