Where to get a copy of tenancy contract

It has been a few years since I was last a landlord and I am aware of the changes coming in March.

My friend is looking to rent out his flat and has asked me to help him rent it out.  The AST contracts that I had used before are very old so where is the best place to get AST contract for free, if it is possible to get it for free?

The government provides a model AST.

Alternatively, your friend could join NRLA and access their AST which is included in the membership.  It might be prudent for a novice landlord to join a landlord association to keep abreast of any legislative changes.

We've started using "Open Rent" rather than DIY it. There's various packages available from Zero cost.  So far we've been very impressed,  we used their referencing and Tenancy creation service, all done on line in no time.   NB. We find and meet the prospective tenants ourselves we would never take on tenants without a face to face meeting.
