Is a Marcus UK account safe under  Trump? He couldn't direct Goldman Sachs to seize uk accounts, could he? I'm assuming not, as Marcus are UK registered and FSCS protected?

Just tried to apply for the Marcus 4.55% - all the links from MSE's email and website do 'circular' re-directs back to MSE site, and when you go direct to the Marcus site and hit the "Apply" button, the page simply doesn't load.

Suggests they've hit their demand level.

    Anyone else having this issue?

Loads for me - a page asking me to fill out my personal details. Haven't taken it further than that.

Still works for me going direct, i.e not through a MSE link.

It was featured and recommended on the Martin Lewis show this evening so perhaps sudden high demand? I haven't tried yet.

I thought under usual circumstances Marcus doesn't process transfers out at weekends?
I transferred money yesterday (Saturday) to this account, and it was in when I checked an hour or so later.
Yes, they receive payments in over the weekend but, I don't think they process withdrawals at the weekend, well that was my understanding.  Haven't actively used Marcus for a number of years now (rates pants).
They do process over a weekend and pretty quickly.

Used to be delays on a Sunday but no longer

I was using a desktop - but it's back up and working this morning, which is good news.

The Marcus website is tonight saying that this account is ‘currently unavailable’.

I came here to ask the same question...I already applied for the Marcus 1 Year Fix a week ago, and have 14 days to fund it. With the current US administration getting more and more aggressive in their dealings with (the UK and) Europe, I started to wonder whether accounts with American banks might be vulnerable. Any thoughts? This is a separate question from deciding whether to boycott US businesses, which is something else to consider I suppose. But what I'm asking here is, might it be wise to avoid funding a new account with a US bank, out of self-preservation?
