Greasy Palm Not Paying Out

Has anyone else registered with Greasy Palm, but does'nt automatically get their cash back when its due? I shop a lot online and ALWAYS check to see if Greasy Palm has a link to that store - so I can get cashback. Almost always I have to submit a ticket for them to pay me my cashback. My real bugbear is that I have bought my buildings, contents and 2 lots of car insurance from them last month and they have only paid cashback on 1 lot of insurance, saying that I didnt click on the link on G Palm's site! I DID, I KNOW I DID! Who would turn down the chance to earn £50 in cashback for something you have to buy anyway?!! GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER GREASY PALM - after all, paying cashback is what your site is about, is'nt it? :

oh no how disappointing. I have to say I have never had any problems with them but I am sure its very frustrating. I know one of my friends missed out on some payment sbeceasue she had a pop up blocker or something on her computer and it stopped them tracking her. Might be worth checking with the technies at greay palm if this might be a problem.
  • yep they owe me.
i bought insurance and in jan 2007 i complained i hadnt seen the cash baCK
this is the reply i got yesterday

Message: The tests indicate there is a problem with tracking on your computer, and this is the reason why your cashback has not been added to your account. Due to this we are unable to locate the transaction and so we are unable to pay you any cashback. We are very sorry for any inconvenience or disappointment this may have caused you.

For possible reasons why the tracking might not be working and steps on how to resolve these issues please see our knowledgebase article at http://www.greasypalm.co.uk/popup_pages/knowledgebase_article.php?id=80

    Thank you for using GreasyPalm.

so thats it then, i do it all in good faith and then 5 mths later i am told you cant have any cash back....i shant say what i think of them its libellous but true!
will i ever use them again ...err no!
    so be warned!!!!
    ps
i would think any surferer these days will have ad blocking/spyware software on his computer...you'd be mad not too.....most friendly software alerts you at the outset and you can allow them thru...apparently greasy palm does not do that.

I have had problems with tracking in past despite checking settings and not having blocking etc etc so have lost a few cashback payments - despite having the click history relevant ot the time of order etc etc

I too have always been so careful to check I have linked via GP to ensure cashback but it hasn't always worked - sometimes they say the retailer cannot track the order - is frustrating when you have order and click history

they now have a new system so that when you click on a link you see a linking window - recently I have found cashback added / pending and confirmed really quickly - pheww hopefully it is all working properly now but it is annoying when you lose out

i agree, but its not annoying its fraud....i.e. they agree to give you cashback if you link thru thier site. you do this then they dont pay up.At a minimum its breach of contract.
if this happened in say a travel shop.."we'll give you £50 if you buy a holiday with xxx now" so you pay £300 and buy a holiday thru the agent with xxx. You say." pls can i have my £50 rebate now" ....shop says ... "Er no because you cant prove you just handed us £300 for a holiday with xxx " you say i can i have the policy and account history. they say sorry....do come again.
you would call in tso or police... but because slimy palm is on the interweb they get away with it.
  • we spent just under £700 on last minute .com for our honeymoon and greasypalm didnt track the click! they said there was nothing they could do about it. they had records of the actual click but even with LM's confirmation numbers etc they said our laptop had done something to block the tracking cookies or something si milar!

I haven't had a problem with tracking as such, as almost everything's been tracked and appeared on my account, but I've had £28 cleared and awaiting payment from them since about February/March now and I still haven't recieved a cheque from them - it always shows as 'will be included in the next payment run' - but it hasn't yet!

I've stopped using them as I prefer Freefivers - cashback also gets added a lot quicker with them. Might take a look at Quidco though as well! Oh, and pigsback is quite good.
