Evri delivery to post office problem

Hi,

This is the first time I’ve had an eBay click and collect item sent to my local post office, it was sent via Evri.

When I check on my eBay order it states that the item has been delivered to the post office however I have not received a code to go and collect it.

If I track the package on Evri’s website it says it is “on its way”  and not “ready for collection”

Has anyone had this happen before? 

I’m concerned it it doesn’t turn up eBay will see it marked as delivered on my eBay and assume I have it, but without a collection code I cannot get it even if it is at the post office.

The package was posted on 9th of January.

Any advice appreciated, thanks for reading.

Have you tried asking at the post office? I've had parcels delivered to my local post office a few times and not received the codes. He can still release the parcel if you don't have the paperwork.

You only need the tracking and to show them the purchase with exact tracking numbers in your name. Maybe try a day when different counter staff are on. Was it held there as requested or due any fees ?

Either way, if it remains uncollected and Evri is still showing it on the way, you will just be refunded.

Thanks for the replies, I’ll go into the post office on Monday and see if they will give me package if it there.

Just a quick update, the lady at the post office let me have my item without a collection code, she  just just wanted some ID, thanks for the replies
