Accident on holiday 2025

did you get seen at a hospital at the time? ie when you were still on holidayKiki7976 said:I had my arm in a sort of cast for one month. Given strong painkillers. Hard to drive or use my walker
would be tricky to prove that the injury happened then and not when you got home or at some other point of the holiday0 -
I have to agree with the view that it's not entirely 'their' fault. You asked for help, but you didn't wait for it or insist on it. Given that you didn't seek 'proper' medical advice at the time, you'd be hard put to 'prove' the damage to your wrist happened then. And you'd be having to prove it in a US court, from the UK.Kiki7976 said:Truthfully I did ask for help. Anyone in wheelchairs and scooters would get assistance etc.Signature removed for peace of mind1 -
This is going to come across as picky, but it is not meant too.Kiki7976 said:Yes compensation for the last 4 days of my holiday, yes. The scooter iron8cally was fine but it think thats because it fell on to of me!
You have gone from 2 days OP to 4 days in this post.
You have someone in US looking into this? Are you UK based?
Where was the holiday?
Why was this not reported to holiday insurance at the time?Life in the slow lane0 -
The best person to ask if you should tell him something is your lawyer.0

This is going to sound harsh but I think the only one who will benefit from this is the lawyer. You didn't go and get your wrist checked at the time, therefore it could be argued you did it at a later date. The scooter could have had a fault but there is no way of checking that after the event either - so lots of theories / what ifs / could haves involved that keep lawyers in pay cheques.0
