I have a fund "J HENDERSON GLOBAL SELECT" held with TrinityBridge for many years (I think it's a unit trust). I recently got a notice from TrinityBridge that they are closing the service and ask me to either transfer it to somewhere (they mentioned ii) or sell it.
I'm an investment dummy and inactive "investor". I do not expect to trade frequently. I am trying to find somewhere low cost to transfer this fund to, hold it there, and eventually sell it. TrinityBridge's current annual charge is 0.25%. Anyone has any recommendations? Thanks.

Which version do you have? Looks like Scottish Widows Share Dealing, formerly iWeb and ultimately owned by Lloyds Banking Group, has JH Global Select E Acc and I Acc.qsk said:I have a fund "J HENDERSON GLOBAL SELECT" held with TrinityBridge for many years (I think it's a unit trust). It is available on the Fidelity platform, so I guess would be available on most other investment platforms.
Have a look at
Fidelity
Hargreaves Lansdown
Aj Bell
Iweb
Interactive Investor
+ others are available
Charging structures vary and it depends to some extent, how much money is involved.

Thanks. The balance is about 10k. Is there any "comparison" site to compare the fees?Albermarle said:It is available on the Fidelity platform, so I guess would be available on most other investment platforms.

Except best to avoid Interactive Investor, as they have fixed monthly fees, which are better suited to bigger amounts.
The annual platform charge for £10 K would be
HL - £45
Fidelity - £90 ( minimum charge)
Aj Bell - £25
Iweb zero
+ the cost of the fund, which would normally be the same for all of them - £86 a year.2 -
Thanks for the advice.
I had a look at Scottish widow and it says there is a monthly fee of £3 from July 2026 rather than free, or do I misunderstood?

That's the old SW fees scale for a "managed" account. You shouldn't need that. The link provided by Enzo is the one you want. That service was called Iweb until recently and recently merged with Scottish Widows. All part of Lloyds Group.qsk said:Thanks for the advice.

You don't say if this is in an ISA, but that is relevant for taxation purposes. Funds have different classes with difference charges. Janus Henderson Global Select I Acc class I has an OCF (annual charge) of 0.86% but for class E is 1.31%. So the former is cheaper.
For a smooth transfer you need to know the ISIN code which should be a 12 character code beginning GB. That will be in the Key Investor Information Document (KIID) if you have it or the current platform can tell you. The best option would be an "in specie" transfer which would ensure there are no trading fees or risk of Capital Gains Tax to pay if outside an ISA. With the ISIN code you can check that your new platform will accept your version.
That fund has been a decent performer but switching to another isn't difficult or very expensive. J Henderson merged with the US company Janus a few years ago to become Janus Henderson but the current James Henderson is still a fund-manager there in Bishopsgate, London.2
