Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet.
Still wet and breezy, thankfully we've dodged the icy conditions again. Yesterday wasn't too bad, there was even a sighting of the sun for a few minutes!
We found out last night that there's a gas leak in the school kitchen so it'll be sandwiches for lunch today. Thankfully it was found in time for me to send a message to all parents in case they want to send their children in with a packed lunch.
Gers - hope Lionel is getting the treatment he needs, well done to you.
So sorry you've lost the little cat dp1.
Hugs to the poorlies.
Must do some shopping for school after work, we've a Burns event coming up.
Take care. XX

Morning Scarlet and all to follow.
Too dark to see what the weather is doing but I think we are due more rain today, I am off to work with new chap today let’s hope I remember how to do everything 😬
Dinner tonight will be a mixture, there are two GF lasagnes from when I made one a week or so ago and one pie with mash or chips, I couldn’t get a shopping delivery until tomorrow hence the mixture but it will all taste good.
DP1 I was sorry to hear about your little cat xx
Have good days all and take care xx15 -
Morning again, it's frosty here.
Dp1, sorry about your little cat.
Hope you have a good day with your new client Ruby.
Just as well the gas leak was found in time Camelot.
Gers, hope Lionel has started being treated, and is comfortable.
TA sorry to read that you've got the January blues, I suffer from them as well.
I've got an early Drs app for a routine blood test this morning, so will be getting myself organised soon.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.13 -
Morning all.I'm so sorry about your little cat @DP1. Cats enjoy the outdoor life which comes with outdoor hazards. 💕
The news about Lionel is not good. Yesterday he had two MRI scans which showed two lesions, one in a lung and the other at the base of his spine. He'll now undergo a host of tests so will remain in hospital for at least 10 days. It's so sad, the only small upside is that he's now been given something much stronger than paracetamol.I had already made plans to go down to Glasgow today as I have another small procedure on Thursday so will detour in to see Lionel on the way.I hope that everyone is warm, dry and well. Hugs to all.15 -
Morning allLooking dry out there this morning and temperatures still feeling alot better than last weekNothing planned today except finish tidying up upstairs after the new bed base was delivered yesterday.Only half way through January. It seems to go on forever!Have a good day all x12

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. Another sleepless night for me, Grr. Too much dwelling on stuff I can't change clogging my brain.. A thick frost for us but it's supposed to improve as the morning goes on. Fingers are crossed.
It's bus trip day today. Probably Skipton. It will be our first trip out since before Christmas thanks to the inclement weather we have been having. We'll have much to catch up on over our lunch and vino. I don't intend doing much spending unless something catches my eye. I doubt whether many stallholders will have set up in this weather, maybe one or two of the hardy ones.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Been thinking of you Dp1, you will still be feeling a bit bereft without little cat. GERS I hope poor Lionel finally got a bed. A lady I know spent 2 days with corridor care here after Christmas. She said it was chaos. Take care all, be safe xx

Good morning everyone
It's a little frosty here today.
Thanks for the start Scarlet.
Sorry to hear about your little cat Dp1.
I do hope that they can make Lionel comfortable Gers.
Thank you for the advice on the amaryllis, I am so impressed you keep a spider plant alive Taff, something I didn't manage to do.
Off out to do some shopping later so I'm about to do my list.
Thoughts as always with the sad, lonely and poorlies.
Take care x12 -
Morning all and thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons. Hope your blood test goes okay x
Sorry that the news of Lionel isn’t great @Gers but I’m so pleased you can pay him a visit x
School alarm went off at 10pm and 12:40am so DH is a bit jaded this morning. I’m working today and boss has organised a photographer for ‘headshots’ which is my absolute worst nightmare. Luckily I had a haircut yesterday but still!!
DH and I are eating out tonight at the local pub - DD and DS2 were meant to be out but their plans have changed so they will be fending for themselves.Have a good day everyone

A frosty one here too - better than rain.dP1 so sorry about little cat - however they really are a species that love being outdoors
Gers sorry about Lionel, thank goodness you pushed him to get help
My brain was fried yesterday after concentrating on what turned out to be 7 exam sessions albeit some of them less than half an hour.
Today is catching up with chores, craft work and tidying up a section of hedge, bits of branches have fallen with the recent weather, it’s actually the outside of a neighbour’s hedge but where I turn onto the lane and the van is 2.5m high so catches low hanging twigs. I’ll try and make it easier to get out as he is elderly and won’t have noticed anyway.Take care allAA13 -

My grand cat comes to stay for her holidays every summer ,but she has to be a house cat for the duration .
