Chase Boosted Saver Account

Hi

I am looking to open a chase saving account, taking advantage of their boost offer to 4.5%

In order to take advantage of the offer you are required to open a current account with them.

Does anyone know if you have to make any deposit(s) to the current account or can it just lay dormant ?

Thanks in advance
J

Never paid into it once, but the Saver is my main easy access savings account.

I'm sure I heard Martin Lewis on ITV last week mention this Chase account. He said it's not necessary to use the current account to take advantage of the savings account - it may lie dormant.

I've just done this and have successfully direct funded the saver account, won't recieve my first interest payment till the end of the month but I've never seen any reference to having to fund the current account and i'm not planning to. It does offer 1% cashback on travel/petrol and shopping though, so if you're not getting that elsewhere it could be worth using it...

As far as I am aware, been a Chase customer from the start, there is no annual option for interest. It's credited on the 1st of every month.

Also, the rate may not stay at 4.50% for the full 12 months as it's variable.
