Outfox Energy SMETS1 Smart Meter Compatibility?

Maybe via the electric if smets1 gas work same way as smets2 - via the comms hub on the electric meter - or do they communicate directly ?

My liberty smets1by EOn was supposedly also directly readable by Octopus prior to it's DCC integration - but they didn't support my split E10 tariff alcs timings - so didnt switch to their E7.

Just wanted to share that I moved to Outfox from Ovo recently with Smets1 meters.

It took Outfox around 2 weeks to connect to the gas meter and roughly three weeks for the electric meter.

One additional thing regarding Outfox. They are VERY bare bones. With Ovo — whom I'd been with for a decade — I could see daily usage stats, with half-hour updates, so it was possible to gauge, based on the previous day's activities, what was using a lot of energy.

Outfox's website and app offer … nothing. Zero. Nada. They do show the previous day's collected meter readings, but that's almost meaningless without context.

However, I downloaded and connected the Ivie app on my iPhone and that does offer some insights into what's going on.

But I do miss Ovo's detailed reporting on energy use.

How you finding outfox? There'll around £20 cheaper a month cheaper than any of the other fixes for me on an 18m Fix - majority of others are 24!

The move from Ovo to Outfox was smooth as silk. I was a little anxious about whether the Smets1 meters would be "detected", but that was my only concern.

I fixed for 2 years and have zero regrets.

The only thing is, as mentioned, the lack of any kind of meaningful usage data. For that, I'm willing to pay less per month!!!

I have made enquiries through their website's chat feature, twice, and have been responded to and assisted instantly on both occasions.
