Evri - compensation for returning shipment to company without trying to deliver?

I placed a clothing order on Land's End for five sale items reduced in total from £214 to £89. Because Evri are dreadful I chose for them them be delivered to my local post office. After a couple of "sorry - we have it but delivery is delayed" emails they are now returning it to Land's End without, so far as I know (and from their tracking), ever trying to deliver it. The items are now out of stock. Land's End are confused and will try to get the return turned around but are not hopeful. Do I have any claim against Evri?

You have no contract with Evri so there's no claim to be made against them. Your best bet is for Lands End to rearrange delivery, if they're not able to then I doubt if you will get anything more than your £89 back.
