Step Son got a letter from Napier £170

Letter from Napier demanding £170 

son says he went to walk the dog and parking machine not working . 

His mum said to ignore the first letter so he’s just now told us about this !! 

Would you say ignore as past the appeal now ? 

Are they likely to push to court ?

I did seemed a mixture or ignore and don’t ignore which didn’t bring any clarity

Complain to the landowner is the first step.  But as your stepson is now at the debt collection stage (a harmless point in the process) no appeal to the parking firm will succeed. So its case of waiting (with vigilance) to see if he receives a Letter Of/Before Claim from the PPC’s solicitors, or a County Court Claim via the Northampton CNBC.  If he does he should come back to this thread for further advice. 

To get ahead of the curve, he could prepare himself with a bit of gentle reading of the NEWBIES FAQ Announcement, second post, and the Template Defence Announcement, both situated near the top of the forum thread list. 

Should things progress, he must take responsibility for this, you can’t take it out of his hands to deal with.
