  • Typical - there WOULD have been Meal Deal tokens in the machine the day i could ACTUALLY buy one, and now I won't be able to buy one for another don't-know-when and now there's no coupons on them!

I didn't get into to Boots today, but on Monday, Tuesday and wednesday I got vouchers for 150 points on meal deals. This means that the red meal deal works out at just 89p if you take off the £1.50.
  • Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

So some people are getting 25p on their card for buyign a Meal Deal yet some are getting £1.50?????????

I bet they would have only given me the 25p one, as it will be on my records that i am an avid consumer of Meal Deals, back in the day when the branch i can walk to sold them - its so unfair i can hardly ever have them now they have been removed to the Retail Park, it's either get a bus and risk falling off a pavement en route to Boots or pay almsot £4 each eay to go in a taxi and get to the bus to go home on in one piece.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I used to get offered 75 points for spending over £10, now I get 100 points. I was a bit annoyed the other day though. Had a coupon from the Ad card point for 100 points if I spent £10. So I spent what I thought was a little over £10, but it ended up that it didn't as the stuff I'd bought in the sale was further reduced and I only got a handful of points, not 100. Didn't have time to add to it either, oh well...

Think yourself lucky three out of four of my local boots don't have a machine.

And it is typical that the one that is the furthest away has a machine so I rarely get to see if there are any bonus points out there for me.

I got the vouchers again today in a different store. I am gonna try my local store again tomorrow, I am very pleased with all these free products, its so annoying that we have to pay for them anyway!!!
  • Sorry for gumblign to Folk Who Don't have Easy Access To An Advantage Point

My problem is that my branch has four of them but i cannot SEE them with my appalling bad eyesight to make full use of them, so to advantage_card who now tends to ignore the machiens unless either with a patienet relation or if awaiting online points *as the only way to get them* it is to me like not having machine access at all.

It's the fact that the Meal Deals have been relegated to a branch that isn't easy to get to for people who are either pedestrians or reliant on public transport that bugs me though!

I hope you did not think I was belitting your situation in anyway advantage_card, I was just making a comment and having a little moan of my own that I don't have access in the braches that I use the most.

As you like me are being denied easy access to machines. And in your case Advantage_card I find the reasons disgusting. The reason I have been told is due to lack of space in my local stores.

But you have machines and can't use them because you can't see them properly . And that is discrimnation of the worse type.

Have you ever spoken to the manager of the branch you use the most. They might understand if you tell them you want to be able to use the store and the machines but find it hard and that staff do not really seem to want to help or rush you.

I hope that you get some thing sorted out soon.

  • If i could constrcut a letter to Boots about all my various points - the lack of meal deals, the machiens bieng hard to see, promotional vouchers often being totally useless, signs/price tickets hard to see etc. - in a sensible manner without it sounding either like a total me me me whinge or a pity plea for freebies then it owuld have been sent some time ago, but as it owuld probably ahve to go to a director or the chief excecutive to carry any sort of lcout - as just sneding it straight by email to customer services would probably only garner an automated standard letter - i kind of need it to make sense. I really cannot just ramble on like I do on here and on various other internet forums.

One day hopefully it will be done. I have no idea who the manager is @ Eastgate CCentre, Inverness branch is - and even if I could get some sort of assistance @ the EC, what would happen on the odd occasion that I CAN pop into the Retail Park? sigh

I think whoever has managed to formulate bank hole in the wall machines which are on trial in belfast and glasgow right now needs to talk to Boots - but would a talking AP be the perfect answer to everyone? I am sure eldery people with dexterity problems find doing the touch screen of the machine hard too!
