Attention all ostomists
Options
Hi there if you're an ostomist/ostomate and have a surplus of ostomy equipment such as bags or whatever, what do you do with them?
Well there is a charity in Yorkshire who ship unwanted/surplus equipment out to needy people around the world who don't have the benefit of NHS or free prescriptions. I just sent them a whole box of bags as my stoma has shrunk considerably since my op, and therefore was advised not to use them. It seems like such a waste to throw this stuff away when there are people crying out for things like this.
You can send your equpiment to
Jacobs Well
2 ladygate
Beverly
HU17 8BH
tel: 01482 881162
You don't need to send them in a box, the chap told me to make the package as light as poss (preferably waterproof) as they re-pack everything to send it on to where ever it's needed.
