With an issue date of 31/12/25 and providing you complete(d) the AoS after 05/01/26 and before or on 19/01/26 your defence deadline date is 4.00 p.m. on 02/02/26

I have received an email from DCB 'bulklitigation@dcblegal.co.uk' to say:

    1. they are proceeding with the claim
    2. they will use the email address i provided in the defence for service of documents
    3. they included a copy of their (claimant's) directions questionnaire, which they say they have filed with the Court.

I have emailed them asking they do not use email for correspondence, and providing my address.

I am worried that i will 'miss' an email, and wondered if there is anything else that might help with this. Am i likely to get servcied directions questionnaire by email from the court or is there anything else i can do to get that in post? Just a bit anxious to miss something so important given the volume of traffic in my hotmail emails.

Advice would be really helpful and much appreciated if anyone is in a more knowledgeable position.

    Thank you

ps. can see this on the threaad. so know i have to wait for my own directions questionnaire from the CNBC it's just wondering how that will arrive and how to ensure i don't miss it if it comes by email. I can't recall if email was obligatory in the form filling bit that preceded this stage.

    1. Do not be surprised to receive an early copy of the Claimant's Directions Questionnaire or the usual template letter saying they 'intend to proceed' and/or want you to 'settle'. Ignore that!
    2. Wait for your own Directions Questionnaire from the CNBC and then complete & email it to the CNBC (see box below for the DQ email) and cc in the info@ address for the legals acting for the Claimant . It's a simple form but all the DQ answers are here:

It arrives by post but don't use the paper version! No scanning or photos of pages.

have just had my mediation call. Very anxiety provoking when i accidentally stopped the call rather than ansering it frist time round. And kind of pointless. .. the process isn't really 'mediation' as I would ever understand it.

Of course, we are going to court. They offered 220, and then 170 pounds to stop court.

Whilst i don't really want to go to court, i have a bloody ticket still from 2024 to prove i paid, but just took me some time because their machines were not working/wouldn't accept a card, and i had to go and get some coins to pay. I can't prove in court that the machine wasn't working though, can I? fortunately, i can prove that i paid for a ticket.

Anyway, thanks again for all the work that you lot do to support us going through this nonsensical process. No doubt I'll be using scarce annual leave to attend my local court.

You aren't going to court. Do not take any leave from work.

These cases are all the same & it's dead easy. Twiddle your thumbs. No answering their desperate calls to settle it.

YOU SEEM TO HAVE MISSED THAT ALL DCB LEGAL / SMART PARKING CLAIMS ARE DISCONTINUED JUST BEFORE THEY HAVE TO PAY THE HEARING FEE.

Utter abuse of the Court Service resources, time & money.

    They'll discontinue by late Summer.
