Question about breakdown cover and business driving
My job can involve visiting two or three different locations on the days I am out and about - I am a home worker and since our office closed I just drive to where-ever I need to go in is the next county along. It's not huge business mileage - maybe about 7K a year with the other 9K being personal mileage. I always get business insurance cover and more recently have included the breakdown cover within that.
However I can remember reading that some breakdown companies are getting awkward about that - I was presuming that as my insurance is business cover the associated breakdown cover would be the same but can't see anything relating specifically that in the T&Cs.
As renewela is coming up I am also looking at stand alone cover to compare but again, can't see anything for Auto-aid either way. Just looking up greenflag.
For information if I take my ID badge off and as I only work part time, they may well not spot that I am on work business but I am not wanting to tell porkies if asked.
Wondering if anyone is able to shed more light on any of the above?
Thank you.

All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Have you done a search for business breakdown cover?
RAC offer this but , no doubt , there will be others.0 -
I get RAC break down cover through my bank. On the few occasions I've had to use it in the past I have sometimes been at work and sometimes not at work. The RAC person who has attended has never asked if I'm at work.0

Unless your car is liveried, stuffed full of parcels or takeaway bags or has a taxi plate, why would they even bother to ask?It actually states in the AA T&Cs that liveried vehicles require Commercial cover. I imagine others have the same clause.5. Commercial Use
This cover is for people who use their vehicle for a combination of private and commercial use
(examples of which include taxis, private hire vehicles, couriers and tradespeople). If your vehicle has
a logo, signage or business information on it, you will require this cover. If you are just driving to & from work, or visiting another site, you just take your ID badge off and not say anything about being on the clock, you would be covered on your way to & from work anyway, otherwise no-one would be covered- the majority of breakdowns are going to work.
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science

its not about the insurance coverage IE class one or commercial but if you are making money from the vehicle itself usually.
Taxi drivers, couriers, plumbers etc need business breakdown cover but someone using their vehicle to go to offices would not.
