What do you mean by pay n go? If you mean pre-pay then that is set by Ofgem and they're all the same.

If they are genuinely low users for a lot of days of the year - Utilita's smart pay as you go might work.

It basically loads the SC into the first 2kWh per day.

At 60p a day for electric prepay SC though - you'd have to go a long way - have many days below 2kWh - to beat a discounted deal like the above

What do I mean by a lot - well take the electric - they essentially load the 60p SC into first 2 kWh a day

Say could match my short term empty numbers - of around 1kWh / day inc small f/freezer left on - £25/30p = 83 days - 12 weeks of using only 1 kWh / day.

There are meant to be a raft of low or zero standing charge tariffs coming - from the Ofgem consultation that started in mid 2024 - but I am not expecting them to really favour very many - as suppliers need to be sure they recoup so many internal and external costs - some of which are included in the current standing charges.

You (they) could wait to see what - if anything - emerges in the next few months (its already slipped once - the original target date was last year).

Utilita are now the only zero SC tariff AFAIK - years ago pre crisis - there were at least 5 or 6 UK suppliers offering it. And only mid last year even Utilita dropped that deal for credit customers - leaving only the prepay option.
