Travel insurance for over 80s

Happy New Year to everyone here.

Any recommendations for travel insurance companies for over 80s? Our Barclays cover ends after 79 and we intend to carry on travelling in Europe and the USA for as long as possible!

An added complication is that I have cancer (not progressing) so my options will be limited.

Thanks for advice and recommendations.

Try total travel protection . Not on compare sights but my wife has major health problem and they were the only company who offered to even quote .

Parent is 86 and has used Staysure for a cruise later in the year. She’s not doing anywhere near the states though,  which might make a difference

Travel insurance companies are a law unto themselves . We used Staysure last year , never made a claim and the price went from £1200 up to £5000 .  The year before we used Paying too much , never made a claim and they refused to even quote this time . Touch wood . Never made a claim but £5000 for annual travel insurance puts us out of the equation so every year we just have to take a sensible option .

It does always depend where you’re going as well, though. America is always gonna be a lot more expensive than France, for example.
    Especially with pre-existing health conditions.

My mother used Staysure a few years ago, more recently Free Spirit or TravelInsurance4Medical, with phone discussion of medical conditions rather than online form. Per holiday not annual

Scrolling back, I think that was with Total Travel Protection.

I tried Total Travel Protection, but they were another on a long list that wouldn't quote. The comparison site Medical Travel Compared returned quotes from £1252 to £12,642 for Single trip Worldwide inc USA. I eventually found two providers who would quote, but for Europe only, AllClear and Insure&Go.

Not a recommendation as I haven't reached that point yet, but a search on 'Travel insurance with no age limit' brings up lots of options.
