Selling shares - lastminute.com

I have some shares in lastminute.com I bought in 2000 and found in a drawer the other day. I have the original share certificate. Does anyone know how I can sell these? A friend recommened Fidelity but I don't think they deal in shares with this company. I think they are listed in Swiss Francs, from what I can see. I have no idea about any of this.

Thanks for any advice.

Contact details should be on the share certificates.  I believe there may have been a buy-out in 2005, so they may be worthless (and you may already have received recompense).

Those particular shares were sold long ago: "The company was acquired in 2005 by Sabre Holdings, owner of online travel company Travelocity, paying 165p per share, a 57 per cent premium to the share price prior to the takeover talks, but less than half the flotation price. The deal valued the company at £577 million."

You should have received the cash at the time.

  • Yes, looks like a worthless piece of paper. Thanks anyway.
