I did my own LPAs and found the online Ageing concern wording guidance useful particularly for the health one (note I am currently mid-40’s).

However, I think involving a solicitor is important for LPAs if a person’s circumstances are complex and/or capacity may already be/or perceived to be an issue.

I did my own LPAs online just before price increase, so £82 each. Posted to OPG 19 Nov. Letter from OPG 22 Dec stating they’ve notified relevant people & have to wait 4 weeks. Should receive them in the next couple of weeks. It was straightforward.
Now in process of updating my 20+ year old Will which is far from straightforward so I’m using a STEP Solicitor. It feels like money well spent.
