Morning Gers and all to follow
Feels cold but I can’t see if there is any frost, yesterday I walked to work and where it had rained during the night and the frozen everything was frozen solid it was treacherous I mainly walked on the grass for a bit more grip.
The day went very well it’s a big change from what I am used to, getting him up and ready for the day took almost 2 hours and then he wanted the loo later in the day and that took almost an hour I also made his breakfast and lunch and by the time that was done it was time to leave, I was home just after 2 which was nice, will see how today goes.
Dinner tonight will be something quick with chips, we have scampi or fish fingers so will decide later, I will put a wash on this morning and dd can hang it on the airer later as it’s due to rain.
Condolences to Florence xxx
Have good days all and take care xx16 -
All that sounds positive @Ruby, I hope that it carries on that way. It's very rainy here, back to being chilly without the minus temperatures, still going to be a day to light the fire. Yesterday I took a friend up to the big town for her shopping. Later I had a delivery of my first He**o F*** parcel, probably my last as I wasn't impressed with it. It was OK for half price but would be steep at full price. The company haven't offered delivery to this area until now, the lovely driver said that he had lots of the green boxes to sort. Anyway, tried that, won't do it again.Thankfully, the meds Lionel has been given worked some magic to make him more comfortable, more pain free and more mobile. Because he was cold in bed I've ordered an electric blanket for him. His cleaners will put it on the bed on Monday, meanwhile he's dragged out ancient blankets. A kindly neighbour has offered to do local things. Alert levels back down to green'ish. 😀Today has no shape yet, it'll appear later. Meanwhile, take care all. Hugs all round.15

Morning allVery rainy and cold here this morning but no frost thank goodness. No plans today except a bit of dusting and hoovering downstairs then have to go to doctors for a blood test. They doubled the dose of my other BP pill and they have to check it doesn't affect the kidneys.Keep safe and warm everyone xx15

Morning folks and thanks GERS. It's good to hear your first day went well RUBY. Fingers crossed today will be the same.
The weather forecast is a bit different for today. Sleet with a gentle breeze and forecast to reach the dizzy heights of 2 deg. We have crawled out of freezing! But thoughts are with anyone further south who is in the path of the new storm.
I finally sorted out the big freezer yesterday afternoon and as there seemed to be odd snippets of space I started transferring stuff from the small freezer. Now it's as bad as ever! But it meant I could finally turn the small freezer off again (for now!)
It's been a battle of wills with me versus the washing machine! I tried another prog yesterday with the final spin one speed below the top speed. And it spun ok! So I have decided it's just being lazy and can't be bothered ramping up to top speed.. So for now it will live to fight another day as there isn't much difference in the outcome.
A bit of cleaning won't go amiss this morning. A clean of the kitchen and bathroom before an afternoon of sloth follows. Unless a better offer comes along! Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for all in need. Take care and be safe xx

Morning all
Back from my little tripette to the Cotswolds. Lovely sunny cold weather, with a bit of snow overnight. Had lovely walks in Cirencester Park , part of the Bathurst Estate where we saw more deer than people. Warm and cosy in the van which has now passed its winter test! Thanks for all the thoughts 🙂
Today will be prep for the anticipated snow storm , we’re pretty much in the centre of the amber warning. Have a friend to visit and do Christmas presents swaps as she’s been unwell and / or busy with family. I’ll do the grocery shop while I’m out. I’m already having a bit of stress over the snow as DM is now due another blood transfusion on Saturday , only in the local town but we are up a hill and it’s always worse here. However I know there’s nothing we can do if we can’t get her there but my head is working overtime (a common issue!!).Oh and,I’ve used Vintage Cash 🐄 a couple of times, and they were good. DM me if you want more info.Stay safe everyone and take care of yourselves and each other

Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers x Good to know that Lionel is responding to the meds and some practical solutions are being put in place.Glad all went well yesterday @RedRuby1231 will he always be home based or will you be able to get out and about with him?We may go looking at bathrooms today for our en suite. Neither of us are shoppers which makes it quite overwhelming. Would rather someone else choose for us! Dinner is steak and chips but need to get flat mushrooms to go with.Have a good day all

Morning, thanks Gers.
Its frosty here, but the snow has gone.
Yesterday was ok, I've started cleaning kitchen cupboards out. I like a good cupboard/drawer/wardrobe turn out - that makes me sound dead boring, but so be it!
I didn't go out yesterday, might go out today.
Good luck with bathroom shopping Coxy.
Glad your day went well Ruby.
Condolences to Florenceem.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.14 -
Good morning
Thank you for the start @Gers, good to hear Lionel is getting help.
@Ruby pleased it went well with your new chap
Sending condolences to @Florence and her family
Not going on the walk this morning, it's so cold and I don't want a fall if it's icy.
Take care
If you walk at night no-one will see you cry.13 -
Morning everyone
Nice and sunny here this morning with a thick white frost., though it's not as cold as it has been.
Mam and dad got their care alarm system fitted yesterday, so are both now wearing wrist bands which they've been told have to stay on all the time, even in the shower.
I had a good chat with my auntie, mam's sister, which I feel has helped, mam hadn't told her about her fall or how she has been struggling.
My DD has her fostering panel today, hopefully it all goes well.
Silver Oldie that's sensible, best to be safe x
I have a few jobs to do before work, so I'll wish you all a good day x15
