Someone spent my Tesco E-Gift Card without my knowledge or authorisation

I'm in Australia and have had Perkbox issued cards purchased in Q3/Q4 2025 drained in recent days. Perkbox have admitted they have some kind of problem. I do not know if i'll be compensated as their response time to their chat feature is terrible. I speculate they've suffered a system hack - either external or internal from a disgruntled employee. Let's see if they take ownership and fix the problem. I would avoid using Perkbox for now.3

UPDATE: 13/1/26
I would like to confirm that I have received a refund for the remaining balance on the Tesco gift card from Perkbox. The refund took a couple of days to process.
Secondly, I am experiencing the same issue with a Sainsbury's gift card, which also had a balance of over £130 stored on my Google Wallet. I have emailed Perkbox to request another refund, but they have not yet responded. It appears they are facing serious issues with their system security, which has put me off buying more cards.

I would be asking is this a internal issue or have they been hacked & reported to ICO under GDPR in the required 72 hours & if so why have they not informed users..osaka_23 said:UPDATE: 13/1/26I would like to confirm that I have received a refund for the remaining balance on the Tesco gift card from Perkbox. According to a Google search.

Update - 17/1/25
Perkbox has refunded me for the full amount for the credit was used on the Sainsbury's gift card.
I think I am going to stay away from Perk box for a while and keep an eye on the situation.1
