ESTA issues with paying

Has anyone filled out an ESTA, then found payment can’t be processed because of some glitch?

I'm sure that some others will have experienced payment issues/glitches with that, as with any other online payment process, but whether they're relevant to you will depend on exactly what's happening.  Do you get any meaningful error message?  Has your bank declined the transaction?  Have you tried different cards, different browsers, different devices, etc?

Also, in what form were you trying to make the payment?

I'd suggest using a regular payment credit card rather than something like a pre-load payment card.  Keep it simple with a visa or mastercard.

And make sure you're using the right ESTA site, not one of the scam sites that charge you for completing the ESTA for you.

I had the same issue but realised that it was nighttime for them and they could have been doing some site maintenance. I tried again during USA daytime hours and the payment went through straight away.

As already mentioned, I suspect pre-paid cards may cause a problem
