Distribution of estate

Good afternoon

I have today received grant of probate.  Do I have to rush to inform bank as I'd rather leave money in there, I have another 6 weeks until section 27 expires?

Also have a house sale going through and will be "stuck " with that money until I can distribute.

What I'm really asking is whether I really need to wait until section 27 expiring before distributing?

I really debated taking out section 27 notice as I feel extremely confident no one will come forward.  Who knows though?

At the end of the day I want to do this properly, just don't like the idea of having responsibility for beneficiaries money.

Thanks in advance.

Nothing stopping you from making interim distributions as long as you have kept enough back for expenses associated the house. If a creditor come out of the woodwork you can always tell them that you are waiting on the house sale to pay creditors.

Thank you.  I guess I could do that, it will decrease the amount I have in the bank.
