Basically when I opened up my Virgin credit card app it shows me my available balance and how much I owe when I click on that it comes up what makes up my balance when I click on that it then appears we have a balance of £2018.57 with a list of promotional rate purchases promotional money transfers and cash and other balances I have rang up the Virgin team and they cannot see this balance they reassured me that all I owe is to figure that I see of £1280.13 so I was wondering if anyone else can see this on their Virgin app and what it means because I'm a bit concerned of that amount and why show me this. Looking back I my made a total of £900 worth of purchases
and 600 worth of balance transf
ers so total £1500. So no idea where that £1476 figure for puraches is from. My statements all show the smaller figures of which they said is all they can see. Any help would be amazing thank you

You're extremely close to the stated credit limit (on the lower balance indicated).

Use the statements function for the last few would be my recommendation.

Yeah my statements all show the lower figure minus what I pay monthly, which is why im so confused how it shows this £2000 figure that only I can see

The statement is your source of truth, the app seems possibly buggy.

This usually comes down to the app showing a live internal breakdown, while the statement only shows what’s actually been billed so far.
The “promotional purchases” figure in the app is effectively tracking everything sitting in 0% buckets, even if some of it hasn’t yet hit a statement cycle. That’s why Virgin support can only see the lower, statement balance.
As odd as it looks, the statement is what matters for payments and interest. The app view is more of a forward-looking snapshot than a bill.
If the statement and payments line up month to month, there’s no hidden extra debt — just confusing presentation.

You'd expect the credit limit to be accurate though, and obviously from what the app is showing, should not allow the £2K balance. Which is why the statement is key, the activity should match up to statemented activity to the statement date, and so should the limit.
