Morning everyone
Yesterdays layer of snow hasn't shifted at all but there's been no more over night.
I spent most of yesterday afternoon over at my friends house - two cups of tea and the world was put to rights.
I'm back at work today, would be quite happy just to stay at home, but needs must. It will be nice to see everyone again. I have some cleaning to do before I go and Christmas gifts still in my bedroom, waiting patiently to be put away.
I enjoyed Corriedale last night, did anyone else watch it?
Hoping everyone has a good day today x

Morning all from same old same old Mehefinland
Think we all need the proverbial boot on occasions @Gers I get birds taking the moss of the rooftiles frequently, and it sounds as if they have hobnail boots on
Yesterday's saga with the iced up water tanks resulted in a split pipe, which I thought might occur, but it wasn't until I switched the water on did I get the icy shower!! Quick bit of gaffer tape bodging until the weather's better for me to fix it properly.
I'm having some free trees from a rewilding project come soon. A nice chap turned up in a tractor yesterday to clear some brambles. Unfortunately he also 'found' some discarded silage wrap hidden in the undergrowth which wound itself around the flail. Took a good30 minutes to clear it with much huffing and puffing. As luck would have it, I had a knife which helped cut through the worst but it was a tedious job. He's coming back in a week or so to fence off where the trees are going. All this at no cost to me.
In the meantime my old friend rang to ask me to accompany him to the pet crematoria as he hadn't driven that far in a long time and was nervous about it. Of course I said yes, but on reflection I think I will offer to take him instead.
Hugs and spoons as always.Keep warm

Hello all, some of the frozen snow is still lying on the pavements but thankfully it's a tad warmer. Yesterday I did some washing, dried it and put it away. I also made an apple crumble with the apples left in the fruit bowl, we had it with custard, they were too good to waste. Happily there's enough left over for today too, I love comfort food when it's cold outside but my waistband is groaning at the calories 😂
My freezer foray didn't happen yesterday so that's today's must do task. My chest freezer is only half full, which makes me anxious but the freezer bit of my fridge freezer is rammed with bits and bobs. I'll make a list as to what needs using up.
Later Mr Fix It has an appointment for his cancer injection at 5.15 pm. Unfortunately the woman who normally does it is always running late, so it may be gone 6pm before he's done ! As it's such a late one we'll probably have a chippy tea on the way home.
Hope everyone has a good day, especially those who are back at work.
Take care

Morning all! Light sprinkling of snow this morning, OH took a taxi to work instead of riding his bicycle, his tire is a bit iffy anyway, so I'll be picking him up later on. I've got decorations to come down, pork meatballs to make, I'm making a chuck together stew thing, and I'm getting the pasta machine out to check it over, I have some ricotta to use up so potentially ravioli is on it's way...To be fair though, I have a lot fo cheese to use up, so this is only the beginning...I have to empty the fire and relay it so that's another job but otherwise I'm not that busy..Forgot, I got some chain oil yesterday so I can play with my mini chainsaw after
Gers, well done on fixing the handle. And staying warm inside! Well done prodding Lionel. Bit too remote for me though really, I need somewhere remote, with a supermarket next door I think
Coxy, give him a finger wag from me too. Chris, careful you don't end up being excluded from the Freezer Shuffle Club....Ruby, hope all goes well today...why is your OH doing the jobs though, surely the insurance company are supposed to put it all back like it was? snoozer, how's the door? still in the frame?
Izzy, how's the fall friend? Take care all, its another cold one, and hopefully the lurgied will recover soon....Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi12 -
I’m late today not long finished a cleaning job and then took some bits of shopping up for my friend who had a fall thanks for asking Taff and she wanted me to do Her a favour she had the physio yesterday who managed to get her stood up it took a bit of doing as she was as dizzy as a duck but that was because she’s been laid up for so long she managed to walk to the window and back which is 8 steps but then she was shattered and everything is aching so I have been up today and done it with her again she’s worn out the physio is coming tomorrow and I will go again Thursday then her family will help over the weekend but she has been warned not to try and do a if no one’s there I know she’s fed up but she is just going to have to be patient for a bit longer she’s in for a long haul but I’m not going to tell her . It’s still cold here but not as bad as yesterday it was absolutely freezing 🥶. We have the log burner lit I’m going to try and keep warm while catching up on a few jobs thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing11

Good afternoon everyone
Trying to keep to my resolution of posting but not a lot to say.
The snow has nearly gone so I popped out for a few necessities but still cold and a little more breeze today.
I'm fancying something easy and relatively plain tonight so a cheese omelette is on the cards.
Checked on my tulip bulbs in the greenhouse and they are peeping through, hope it's not too early.
So an afternoon of doing very little is on the cards, but I do have to put the wheelie bin out.
Thinking of the sad, lonely and poorlies
Take care x12 -
How is it nearly 3pm and I am only just getting on to the internet? All I've done is put away the few Christmas decorations and write a Happy New Year email to a friend, checked my paperwork from the hospital and loaded the dishwasher again.....ooh new discovery, when I write things down it makes me sound more productive

So yesterday I did get to the hospital, Mr Windley was amazing he drove through a snowstorm to get me there. All went well with the pre-op tests etc etc, and hopefully I'll be on for the op on Monday, I am though fighting off a cold/sniffle but am trying to stay very positive about this, hey maybe this year is the year I stop being a worrier and turn into a warrior!!!
Gers as a recovering procrastinator, I know that Lionel will really appreciate you as a friend, well done!

Hi all, Molly I'm the same as you, I don't know where today has gone.
I've made the s&k pie for tea, it looks good even if I do say so myself. I also sliced up 2 beef joints I got discounted before Christmas. All in the freezer now for future meals.
Other than that we have been taking down the decs we forgot yesterday, how we missed them I don't know. Dusting done, really notice the dust without the decs.
OH is just taking BD out for a walk. The last couple of days he has only had short walks, and we have suffered for it today. Luckily the snow has gone now.
Anyway that's all from me, have a good evening all.11
