Redact your account number.0

No need, that is the generic account number that ALL funds go into and are then allocated to an individual account with a personal reference in the format 7 digit personal account number plus surname.Isthisforreal99 said:Redact your account number.

What exactly are you trying to do that requires this information and who's online / phone help told you to use that info?
If you are transferring from Charter to T212 you should only be dealing with T212. Is this information to enable T212 to transfer in your ISA from Charter? The sort code and account number are correct for Charter Savings Bank but usually on a transfer-in form you only need to quote your account number (the XXXNNNNNNNXXX) in the roll no / reference field where the existing ISA is not held in an individual personal account with the provider and is allocated from a generic holding account to the internal individual account. In these cases you don't usually need to quote the generic sort code and account number.

Hi I am using the Trading212 app to transfer the Charter ISA in , the transfer form asks me to select my bank and then enter the account number and sort code .. I phoned up Charter bank who told me not to use my account number but the theirs and then my account number as the reference number. / roll number .mebu60 said:What exactly are you trying to do that requires this information and who's online / phone help told you to use that info?

When I use the Charter banks bank it does not work ( says not invalid ) and when I try use the one registered to my account it says should be 10 digits.

In the T212 app on the transfer form have you tried leaving the sort code and account no blank then entering your personal account no NNNNNNNXXX in the reference field?0

hi there is no refernce field - it just shows account number and sort code - it wont let me progress so the next page without entering them.mebu60 said:In the T212 app on the transfer form have you tried leaving the sort code and account no blank then entering your personal account no NNNNNNNXXX in the reference field?0 -
I would suggest contacting T212 in that case as it is their app (not Charter's who you rang before) to ask what to do when there is no personal sort code & account no and the app rejects the generic account no as invalid.sidneyyoungblood said:
