Given the current situation and uncertainty... I'm not sure it's advisable for a new investment at the moment.

By no means directly comparable but think of Vietnam's phenomenal economic growth since the reforms of the 80's.

Indeed - I suppose it depends on your risk appetite. There may be great gains, but that also comes at a risk of potential total loss.

And you'll likely find yourself swimming around with some rather large sharks, considerably further up the food chain.  A brave investment choice perhaps.

Perhaps when mentioning potential investors in Venezuela I was thinking more of large funds of the hedge variety rather than individuals.

Hehe. That would be the power of hindsight. We can all get rich on that. The more volatile the market the more money that can be made or lost.

I've invested a lot over the years in emerging telecoms markets mostly LATAM & SSA , all
Kinds of uncertainly political, wars, diesel price.... but everyone wants a mobile signal still 


I don't know much about Venezuela so won't be investing

For anyone else who wants to become a millionaire, I recommend investing two million in Venezuela.
