I just counted 14 fixed-rate tariffs at Our prices | OVO Energy, all published on 18 December before they all skived off for an extended holiday. None of them can hold a candle to my current extended fix (17 months), which I settled on last Spring with a view to avoiding the widely-predicted increases in standing charges over the next few months. When they come back to work tomorrow (5 Jan), I expect they'll start puzzling over how to apply the "£150" budget reduction, when the whole idea of fixing for the customer is to steer clear of anticipated changes wherever they originate. OVO publish their rates ex VAT, so the price paid can legitimately vary with the rate of VAT.

If the November V3 from Octopus made a reappearance then that was short lived (again!) as it's back to the V2 that has been hanging about for the last couple of months (all bar another brief change to the V3, which happily, I nabbed!). I think the first time it was around for at most 2 days.

Octopus haven't even updated their Flexible Octopus rates online yet.

Their price cap blog has the figures for Jan 2026, just not the list of tariffs.

Don't know which figures, the comparison websites are using, as I usually just check Octopus' rates.

Had hoped for a new fixed tariff too.
