Central heating acting up

There is no need to replace the heating because the pipes are 32 years old. Neither is there any point removing under floorboard piping. Where will it run otherwise? In plastic surface trunking? I would listen to the professional opinion of the engineer, although I'm not sure why he thinks the zone valve will go again soon. They usually last around 20 years or so.0

I think the engineer repaired it, not replaced it. So, yes, likely to fail again.chrisw said:There is no need to replace the heating because the pipes are 32 years old.
